Spore to Table is a small scale start-up company specializing in a variety of locally grown mushrooms for personal and commercial kitchens local to Kernersville, North Carolina. The branding project was to establish an identity for the company and for use towards future marketing and expansion endeavors. A primary horizontal logo is used for marketing materials and brand identity and a medallion stamp with location and company establishment date are used for packaging labels and market banners.
The font sequence chooses a bold, sans-serif typeface to be quickly distinguishable while the accompanying texts is a more playful, hand-drawn type-face to identify with the brand's locally grown small-scale qualities giving a sense of personal touch similar to that of the business strategies and goals. The icons indicate the sense of the 'farm to table' approach through two types of grown mushrooms. The company manager also specializing in licensed foraging so the basket icon reflects gathered mushrooms.
