Jen's Ice Creams -Stained Glass Window
I collaborated with the architectural team for an adaptive reuse upfit of a residential home that would become part of a new commercial district outside of Houston, Texas. The existing layout and exterior of the home and style would remain the same, staying reflective to the eclectic nature of the neighborhood and the community. I worked with the client to redesign an artist submitted stained glass window that would fit in the existing window above the entry. The original artist submitted a design that did not match the aesthetic of the brand and felt too traditional for the project. The client requested a redesign that would better reflect the contemporary feel of Jeni's brand, but would also fit the more traditional styles located in this neighborhood.
I completed this redesign independently with guidance from the overall architectural and interiors team as well as the Jeni's branding team.

Original design created by the fabricator. The style felt too traditional and did not feel on brand with the client or design of the building.

Studies for the direction and branding colors. The Ice cream cone shape and size was an important feature of the brand itself, and so we incorporated the type of cone as well as more flavors into the style of the stained glass window.
