Residential Guidelines
Architectural guidelines for a proposed residential community in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The guidelines will be used by builders and homeowners to establish a cohesive community feel while giving each individual home the flexibility of design and style. The project consists of several unique site features that will be preserved as part of the sustainability and conservation land concept. The community will feature access to natural landscapes, shared community spaces, an open meadow, and a hospitality component, while celebrating the history of Markham Hill and the generations of people that loved the site through continued use of open trail systems and gathering spaces for the community.
I worked with the team to derive an architectural vision for the design of homes based on a shared goal of land conservation, density development, contemporary TND concepts, and site features with the local market.  An initial site visit took place to compare precedent in the nearby cities, and was used as a direction to gather visual imagery for the architectural direction and site development.
